Couple this with reducing the need for foreign oil while eliminating pricing volatility. Pretty impressive!
Well the news doesn’t stop there, the first solar powered city Babcock Ranch is starting to gain traction. Located in southern Punta Gorda near Fort Myers former NFL player Syd Kitson of Kitson & Partners has advance plans for the world’s largest solar powered city. The heart of the$350 million FPL plant would be 75 mega watt photovoltaic power facility, designed to support 19,500 homes, plus 6 million square feet of industrial and retail space. Promising to deliver 20 thousand permanent jobs over a span of 20 years, Babcock Ranch is truly the city of the future. The green light hasn’t turned for this 2 billion dollar development but serious consideration is being given at all levels.
So what’s this got to do with Port Charlotte Fl homes for sale or Punta Gorda homes for sale you ask…………… Well over the next 10 years maybe a lot. It’s looking more likely we will see photovoltaic technology transition to a viable cost effective source of clean energy.
