Port Charlotte Fl with a population of over 54,000 saw a 17% increase from 2000 to 2010. It also remains the economic center of Charlotte County. Being home too many of the national big box stores and Towne Center Mall Port Charlotte is the place for shopping and business. The real estate market bottomed in early 2010 and has made a steady swing upward for past two and half years. Current home sales have been strong with listing at levels below normal making for a tight supply.
