Punta Gorda Isles Homes, Real Estate & Area Information
Punta Gorda Isles
Many consider the deed restricted community of Punta Gorda Isles, also known as PGI, to be the leading waterfront neighborhood in Southwest Florida. Situated just one mile from beautiful downtown Punta Gorda, PGI’s beauty and location make this the perfect place for your new home. Established in the late 1950’s PGI has over 5300 home lots, most of which are on canals that are 100 feet wide and 6 to 10 feet deep.
All canals lead to either Charlotte Harbor or the Peace River and ultimately to the Gulf of Mexico. Some of the PGI lots are on St. Andrew’s South Golf Course.
PGI offers a mix of moderately priced to more upscale quality homes that provide superior value when compared to other Southwest Florida markets such as Naples or Sarasota. If you’re a boater PGI is one of the places that should be at the top of your list.
