Condo’s in Punta Gorda play a significant role within the market due to what we call snowbirds. These folks migrate here for typically 3 to 6 months of the year from late fall to mid spring. Looking to escape from the often cold and snowy months of the north. Condo’s offer a range of convenience which can’t be found in a single family home. At the same time, they tend to be located in a more upscale areas and are closer to restaurants and other establishments.

Condo living lets you can come and go without worry with pretty much just a single turn of a key. Most snowbirds find that very attractive, offering a casual lifestyle leaving time for the more important things like… fun!

Most condos offer a full range of amenities from golf, tennis, various clubs and pools. No need to think or worry about all the things that should be done or could go wrong when compared to owning a single-family home because the association handles most if not all of that stuff. This is a welcome relief from northern home ownership. Typically, condos cost less to purchase and to operate on nearly all levels. All condos have HOA fees that are shared by all the owners. These fees cover most everything other than personal insurance, internet costs, electricity and certain things within the walls of your unit.

Condos are governed by rules and bylaws accepted by the association that you must agree to prior to purchasing. Shared living comes with the understanding that this isn’t just about you. This not to say change cannot occur as the governing board is represented by association members who meet regularly to discuss issues and problems. Like all things there’s a give and take to condo living.

Punta Gorda enjoys a wide range of condo prices starting from low 100k up to 700k. Some offer dramatic harbor views and deeded boat docks with lifts. Being a boater’s community, we have many miles of canals which all lead to Charlotte Harbor and to the Gulf of Mexico. Prices start in the high 100k range and continue up to 600k.
